From turquoise lakes to snow-covered glaciers...

When Jacquie and Michael reached out to me about photographing their helicopter elopement in Whistler, stoked was an understatement. This whole day was a dream come true and we had perfect weather, incredible views, and there was SO much love present.

After the sweetest first look on the tarmac, Jacquie's sister presented them with a paper wreath filled with good wishes and handwritten messages from friends and family that weren't able to join them on the day. It was one of the sweetest, most intentional wedding presents I've ever seen, and it was such a wonderful way to include those who couldn't travel during the pandemic.

After a quick safety tour from Blackcomb Helicopters (they are SERIOUSLY the best!!), we were off to Beverley Lake! When I found out that they had picked this lake for their elopement and vows, I was so excited. J & M got married surrounded by mountain peaks, alpine trees, and lingering snow and it was so quiet and peaceful. You genuinely felt like no one else existed except the people you brought up with you.

From Beverley, the rest of the wedding party headed back down to Earth, and the couple, parents, and I headed up towards the clouds to find the top of Rainbow Mountain. I don't have a lot of words for how these 30 minutes on top of the world felt, but surreal might be one of them. We had absolutely incredible views in every single direction around us and Jacquie and Michael ran around and drank everything in. We danced on the mountaintop, climbed rocks, and enjoyed every second of it.
